Day #5 Tenerife

I’m finally feeling a bit better. We ate breakfast and went swimming, because it was my last chance to swim there. It was cold outside but we didn’t care.

Then we packed our stuff and left the hotel and drove to a new one. The trip took about 45 minutes I think.

The hotel is pretty great and it is close to the airport. The pool is a bit small but the view there is great. The hotel’s name is Vincci Tenerife Golf. We’re not going to play golf here.

After we had unpacked our stuff we drove to a little shopping area. There were stores and restaurants. We just ate at McDonald’s and left. We didn’t go to see any of the stores.

We stayed at the pool for the rest of the day. In the evening we went to an outlet. It was a pretty small. It’s called Galeón Outlet. There are some mountains close to it.

We ate at a restaurant called Dedos. It was kinda Mexican and it was great. I ate ribs there.

Then we drove back to the hotel.

Day #4 Tenerife

Still sick. It was a rainy day. We ate some breakfast and left to a shopping mall called Meridiano.

After that we went to a spanish department store El Corte Ingles. I didn’t buy anything there.

Then we walked back to Meridiano and I ate a subway there. I think the sub sandwiches are a bit bigger here than in Finland.

After I had eaten we drove to a concert hall called Auditorio de Tenerife. It was pretty cool looking but pretty empty inside.

We drove to the hotel and rested a while. Then we ate at nice little very well rated restaurant opposite to our hotel. It was called Cocina Urbana. The service was really quick and the food was good. I mean I ate just turkey nuggets there but they were pretty good.

Then we went to bed.

Day #3 Tenerife

I’m still sick. We ate some breakfast.

We thought that we could go shopping somewhere but I was too sick soooo…. I stayed at the hotel and watched Netflix… again 🙂

Afterwards we went to the pool and shared a club sandwich. I didn’t swim.

Then we took a trip to a town called La Laguna. It was pretty high up the mountains. The town is an UNESCO world heritage site.

There were some sort of small castle kind of things. I don’t actually know what they were.

Then we drove back to the hotel. Later we went to eat at this small tapas bar called Cortxo. It was a cool place.

By the way, there are these two cats (I think there’s two of them) in the hotel garden… I just wanted to tell about them… with picture of course.

Then we walked to the hotel and went to bed.

Day #2 Tenerife

Good morning. I’m sick… Yeah. Well anyways, we started with a breakfast.

We were supposed to go to a museum but then we didn’t go together. I just stayed at the hotel and watched netflix. 🙂

Afterwards we tried to go eat at a restaurant but it was closed. We went to a Superdino which is a local supermarket. There we found NACHOCHOCOLATE. Unfortunatly because I’m a lactoseintolerant, I couldn’t eat it that much.

On the way back to the hotel, we walked trough a park and there are some statues, much big trees and a lot of dogs. There’s also this pond where are some REALLY loud small frogs.

Then we just ate at the hotel. I ate a hamburger.

After lunch we rested at the room. We thought we could go to the pool but it was too windy outside. In the evening we left to go eat some sushi. There were no kappamakis which are my favorite sushi but we just ate something else there.

Then we returned to the hotel and went to sleep. We didn’t do much that day… You know because I’m sick. Hopefully I’ll be in a better shape tomorrow.

Day #1 Tenerife

Our flight left Finland in the morning and it lasted about six hours.

Before we landed we could see this pretty high mountain from the airplane.

After we landed we drove a bit over 30 minutes to Santa Cruz. Our hotel is Iberostar Grand Hotel Mencey.

In the hotel’s garden there is an outside pool and an inside spa pool that we couldn’t get in. 😦

Near to the pool there is this little pool for turtles where they swim.

After resting for a while we left to get some food. We tried to find something local but the resteurants opened so late that we didn’t want to wait for them to open so we just ended up eating at McDonald’s.

Then we just walked back to the hotel.

Days #1-4 Norway

Hi! I’m gonna make just one post for this trip to Norway because we are here for only four days.

On the first day our flight left from Finland pretty early. First we took a train to our hotel and left the bag there. Then we walked to the Oslo City Hall. On the way we saw some maraton runners.

We wandered through the city. Then we went to Hard Rock Cafe Oslo. We walked a little in the city and then went to the Scandic hotel to rest.

After that we left again. We went to Aker Brygge and there was the Astrup Fearnley Museet. There were really great buildings and a lot of people and restaurants.

When we had walked through the place we ate sushi in Sakee sushibar. Then we walked to the hotel again.

On the second day we ate breakfast and then left. We took the subway to Holmenkollen. The subway climbed pretty high. In Holmenkollen there is a ski jump which was really scary.

Then we travelled to Mathallen food court which is in Vulkan area. Vulkan is a place which is filled with new buildings, restaurants and offices. In Mathallen there was a huge line and it appeared that everyone was queueing for donuts. Don’t know why… We ate fish and chips at Vulkanfisk, the service was nice.

After that we went to Vigeland park with a tram. Vigeland is a huge park where are lots and lots of statues. I just couldn’t resist so I had to use mobile data to play Pokemon Go. There were a ton of Pokestops and Squirtles. Oh and the statues were great too.

Then we went to the hotel and to rest a little. Afterwards we went for pizza in Savoia.  The pizza was great. I tried to enter the wifi but I couldn’t get the password.

On the third day we went shopping. Then we went to see the Barcode buildings. They are narrow and tall builded next to their chater. They are so cool.

Then we had a tour in the Oslo Opera House. We climbed on its roof which was very steep. The operahouse was by the sea.

We ate in the operahouse restaurant. It was good.

After that we went shopping again and then returned to the hotel. Later we ate in El Burro some tacos which were really good.

On the fourth day we walked to a boat which went to Bygdoynes. The Viking Ship Museum and Kon-Tiki museum are there. The ships were big and impressive and the Kon-Tiki museum was interesting.

Then we returned to the city. We walked to Kunstnernes Hus for lunch. I ate a schnitzel.

After lunch we tried to do some shopping on Bogstadveien, but didn’t find anything.

Late in the evening we left Oslo and returned to Finland.

Day #13 Portugal

We started the day by the pool.

Then we drove to Museu do Arroz Comporta Restaurant Lounge for lunch. It was next to a ricefield. Pretty good food.

After that we drove a short way to the beach which was pretty good.

Then we came to the hotel and then ate dinner.

Tommorow we’ll drive to Lisbon and fly back to Finland so this is the last post. Bye.
