We flew from Finland to Berlin before noon. It took only 1,5 hours.
At the airport we took our luggage and went to the rental car service center to get our car. It was really slow and it took about an hour until we were good to go.
We drove to Hamburg where we’ll be staying there for the first three days.
Our first hotel was the most expensive hotel we’ve ever been in so we stayed there for only one night. The hotel is called Westin Hamburg and it’s in the same building as the Elbphilharmonie concert hall. The building is really cool and the concert hall/hotel is built on an old magazine.
Our hotel room was on the sixteenth floor and it was SO AWESOME.
The windows were a bit scary but somehow I dared to go look outside. The other window was curved outwards so you could see lean to it and see down to the street.
Then we went to explore the hotel and we found a restaurant and ate there. It was called Störtebeker.
After dinner we went outside for a little walk and took just a few pictures.
Then we went to our hotel room, I took a bath and we went to sleep.
The next day we woke up in the morning and went to have breakfast.
Then we went back to our room to pack our stuff. We were going to leave the hotel in the morning.
Before we left we had a tour in the concert hall. It wasn’t what I thought it was because the tour guide just told us about the buildings history and we didn’t get to see much of the building itself.
Then we left and on the way to our hotel we went to a museum at the Deichtorhalle.
After that we drove to our hotel Henri. On the way there we saw some celebrity in a waffel shop. We didn’t get to see him except his red cap because there were of a lot of fans.
The hotel was pretty small but the room was pretty big. The hotel was great.
We went to a nearby train station just to see it. It was raining.
Then we were in our hotel room for the rest of the evening and went to sleep…
Until the freaking fire alarm went on when we were sleeping. We called to the lobby and they sayed that we need to get out of the building. So we just put on our shoes and ran outside.
Everybody came out and the firefighters and police arrived. The hotel staff counted that we were all there meanwhile the firefighters checked that everything was okay inside.
Then they told us everything was all right and that it was just a false alarm. So we headed inside and back to bed.
In the morning we ate breakfast.
Then we went to see the city center.
After a while we took the subway to a quay and went for a boat tour in the harbour and Hafen City area.
We ate at a fish and chips restaurant called Fischbrötchen König. The service was pretty good and fast.
Then we walked around the city and went for coffee to Mutterland.
After coffee we walked to Europa Passage mall. We didn’t find anything to buy.
Then we rested at the hotel. Then we walked to Ahoi by Steffen Henssler. It was pretty good.
Then we went to sleep at the hotel.
